High school hell

The students at Bugil Academy may not be original, but their fingers are still full of talent. For the school’s spring festival a group had painted flags to line the drive onto campus. Surprise then that the unknown artists’ work may look so familiar.

Lining the street were Lichtenstein, Mondrian and Haring. What happened, I thought, to the tradition in my teen art school years of painting models, musicians, and other celebrities? Who are these teens schooled in such recent art history?

Then one caught eye with a notion I did remember. Under a scene of the school in thick black letters: BUGIL HELL. And I though to self: well, at least teens still hate high school.
