A few months ago we paid a visit to the Nanta kitchen. Just now I've snagged a photo off of my coworker's Facebook. A success at the '97 Edinburgh Fringe Fest, Nanta toured the world before settling into Jeju and three Seoul theatres as a national long-term institution.
A non-verbal Stomp! around the kitchen, the show showered us in sliced up veggie music. We filled out stomachs with the beats of diced up cabbage and pound of knife to chopping block. And as the final knifed note hit, we grinned having found theatre to indulge in without learning the local language.
