All along the shopping strip are golden statues. At the tip is a man with offering palm and a plaque that reads: shake my hand. Cross the street are two open arms and another sign: hug me.
A golden bench offers a picture pose, sit beside your friend and let his digits form your rabbit ears. In the middle between the stores a fountain flows past the bronze toes of children. They chase a paper boat always going nowhere.
Two more children climb the light poles, look down on the zoo. A seal pushes a ball with nose, monkey waves, hippo grazes, a mountain goat meanders. All stay stiff as stone, golden happiness forever.
